  • Newsairy 1.15 — Article Info (a closer look at where every article comes from)

Hi r/rss, a quick update on Newsairy, the iCloud-native RSS reader I've been building. It's been a few releases since I last posted here (1.11 in July), so a quick recap before the headline:

    • 1.12 — add a feed by pasting the website's address, not just the feed's; Newsairy finds it for you
    • 1.13 — a rebuild of how the app shares state under the hood, much faster large archives (tested with 150,000 articles), and a Shortcuts action to add a feed from outside the app
    • 1.14 — full YouTube channel support (video, description and thumbnail, right in the article), and a fix for an Inoreader sync bug where read/starred state stopped syncing once your account had nothing left unread or unstarred

And now 1.15 adds an Article Info sheet, opened from any article's context menu: where it's from (the feed's name and which archive it lives in — local, iCloud, or one of the aggregators), its published/updated/read dates, its read and starred state (switchable right there), and when retention will remove it. Feed Info also picked up two more lines: the feed's format (RSS, Atom, JSON) and the date of its newest archived article, so a feed that's gone quiet gives itself away at a glance.

I built it mostly for smart feeds and folders, where an article shows up without the usual context of "which feed is this from again?" - now that's one tap away instead of a guess.

For anyone who hasn't come across it: Newsairy syncs over iCloud across iPhone, iPad and Mac, and Pro adds sync with TheOldReader, Miniflux, FreshRSS, Feedbin and Inoreader. One-time purchase, no subscription, no ads, no tracking.

I have a long todo list, but I'm always open to suggestions - if there's a feature or a use case you'd like to see, let me know.

  • Across News App - For RSS Enthusiasts

I built Across News App 🌉

I used to use Pulse News, and I really loved its unique carousel-style layout. It was dense, quick to scan, and made it easy to keep up with the sources I already cared about.

When I couldn't find that experience anymore, I decided to build my own take on it.

Across is a simple, dense news reader that helps you stay in sync with the sources you care about — without endless scrolling.

Just launched on Android. Would love to hear what you think!

    📱 Google Play link

    More coming Across.

Please do support in any way you can, it is a hobby project but I have poured my heart and soul into this ❤️

Let me know any feedback you guys have. This community is the most apt place I need feedback from🙏

  • Looking for a good free RSS reader — especially for LinkedIn and sites without RSS

    Hi,

I’m looking for a good free RSS reader where I can collect updates from different websites and sources in one place.

    A few questions:

    • What free RSS reader would you recommend?
    • Is there any good way to follow LinkedIn pages/profiles through an RSS reader?
    • What about websites that don’t have their own RSS feed? Is there a good service that can create an RSS feed from a normal webpage and then send updates to my RSS reader?
    • Ideally, I want the tool to generate a normal RSS URL/feed, which I can then simply add to Inoreader or another RSS reader.

Basically, I want the self-hosted tool to handle the scraping/feed generation, while Inoreader remains my actual RSS reader.

Ideally, I’d like something simple where I can follow a mix of news sites, industry websites, LinkedIn and other pages without checking everything manually .

    Any recommendations?

  • I built RSS –> Telegram and ended up with follow(object)

Let’s say I applied to YC. With a really BIG idea! Like everyone thinks that their idea is big enough to apply to YC. At least I assume it.

    My idea is follow(object);

Okay, I really applied to YC with this idea and… of course I check my email everyday, idk why but I also followed their social media account’s YouTube, Instagram, TikTok. Like to be ready if something happens You know, to say “Yes, I already follow You”.

I clicked the links in their website footer, and followed in each platform separately. YC Instagram: follow. YC YouTube: follow. And…

So, now notifications and follow in many platforms completely broken. It’s more like “power-like”, “we see that you REALLY INTERESTED in this Object.”

I really followed YC in Instagram. Of course all notifications from social media app are switched off, and we know why. You think when I opened insta they showed me last YC post? No. Trending video OR/AND an ad.

So, what if I’ll create a backend that can read channels and deliver signals, not whole content, just “published”. So this backend will be able to read all channels and deliver everywhere.

    Through simple API I’ll create my bot in Telegram, that will send me notification every time in my conditions (when, how, what etc), when YC do something towards me: publish new posts, send me an email, like my post, etc. And what if I want only email, but able to see new posts by demand. I can switch off TikTok and Instagram now, and then re-activate them. Follow(YC);

And remember these backend can work with every app. So what if I want to get this updates from YC in… let’s say WhatsApp, or WeChat instead of Telegram, or…? Whatever, right?

    That’s how it became DirectFlow.

ObjectD.channel.output -> ObjectF.channel.input. Everyone can change their output AND input channels.

So I started the project with this goal, and call it DirectFlow. First real implementation is here https://directfollow.com

Recently add Slack as delivery. I mean, an input channel. It means technically You can get all your notifications from everywhere in Slack or whatever app you want.

  • Foragd August Updates Post

    Hey everyone,

I wanted to share an update on Foragd, a web-based feed reader I’ve been building. My goal with Foragd is to provide a clean experience for gathering and reading content, not a cluttered inbox.

First off, thanks for the folks who did some more testing for me! As a solo developer, all feedback and testing is super valuable. I'm working through the feedback you've given to make Foragd even better!

    What’s new since July:

    • Global Article Filters: In addition to per-subscription article filtering, you can now define filters that will apply across all subscriptions.
    • Previous/Next Article Buttons: When viewing an article, there are now buttons that allow you to go the next or previous article quickly, without needing to navigate back to the lists.
    • Remembering Scroll Position: I’m implementing better logic to remember your scroll position when navigating back to the lists pages.

    UX & UI Improvements:

    • Typography: Improved fonts. Foragd uses Alegreya as the default article font. Inter is used for labels and controls. I’m looking into adding the ability to choose from a bunch of font sets as well as adjusting the size for individual customisation of the article font.
    • Themes: I’ve reworked all available themes, making sure contrast and other issues are resolved. Dark themes in particular should have more overall contrast.
    • Better Email Newsletters: I’ve reworked email newsletter layouts to remove some of the more janky quirks of converting email html to regular html.

    Backend Improvements:

    • Behind the scenes, when the backend fetches feeds, it now tries to enrich feeds/items that lack details, like only summaries or no images.
    • Search performance and relevance improvements.

    Sale Pricing

I’m running sale pricing at the moment:

    • Annual USD $36 (was $59), paid annually.
    • Monthly USD $5 (was $7.50), paid monthly.

The trial period is now 30 days as well, with no need to enter payment details until the trial period is finished.

    Links:

Foragd is handcrafted for the love of the independent and underground web. If you have any questions, feedback, or feature requests, please drop them below or DM me!

  • [POC] rssFriends.com: a self-hosted social RSS Radar that meets the Fediverse

TL;DR: I built a self-hostable social RSS reader that federates with Mastodon. Live demo + code linked below

Today the POC of my favorite feed reader is finally ready, it has all the features I had in mind for it.

It started from a small idea. In my world, very few people around me use RSS, and I always wanted to know what they follow and what they find interesting, maybe I'd want to follow them too. For example, I knew two of my coworkers were daily RSS users like me, but there was no way for us to see each other's reading.

So I let myself dream a bit and, with the help of AI, put together a version of that dream. You can see the live instance here: https://rssfriends.com/

The code of this POC lives here: https://github.com/pesarkhobeee/FediverseRssFriends

In short: it's a social, RSS-friendly radar for the open web, self-hosted, with magic-link auth, and connected to the fediverse (ActivityPub).

    In detail you can:

    • Add RSS or Atom feeds and put them in your own categories
    • Share your list of feeds on a public page, or keep your account fully private
    • Follow other people and see what they read or bookmark
    • Save (bookmark) items you like
    • Group your feeds into categories, and subscribe to each category as its own RSS feed
    • Follow people on Mastodon and other rssFriends servers, and let them follow you from where they already are. This part uses ActivityPub (the same protocol Mastodon uses)
    • It also supports the wonderful Wallabag: you can bookmark anything and it's automatically saved to your Wallabag. This is probably my favourite feature, because it fits my personal workflow: I bookmark what I like on rssfriends.com, it goes to my Wallabag, and from there it shows up on my e-reader (KOReader), which also supports Wallabag.

If you want, you can visit my public page and see if it's something you'd enjoy using too:

  • r/rss continues to be unmoderated :(

We've all seen r/rss being flooded with ads, self-promotion, and completely off-topic posts. It is unclear when there was last any meaningful moderator activity. Posts about the lack of moderation:

Some of us have tried to help remedy this situation by reporting spam where we see it, by messaging the moderators to offer help, and by asking for the subreddit to be handed over via the r/redditrequest process. Unfortunately, nothing has helped, and r/rss continues to be unmoderated.

I hope that someone else's attempt is met with more success.

  • Vulnerabilities in RSS readers via CSS

Hi fellow RSS Reader authors (doesn't everybody write one these days?),

I came across this article about CSS-related vulnerabilities in email readers:

    https://portswigger.net/research/css-the-bomb-inside-your-inbox

Frankly, I found this quite shocking. As RSS readers render third-party HTML, these issues potentially affect RSS readers as well.

I am wondering which strategies you use for sanitizing and rendering third-party HTML? In particular, for HTML-based readers.

In my reader, I am currently using whitelist-based sanitation of the HTML on the server side (using sanitize-html npm). On the client, I am using safeSetHTML where supported as a second-layer defense, but slightly less strict to avoid issues with third-party embeddings (TikTok, X..). Without safeSetHTML, I am using DOMPurify.

Unfortunately, my UI does not allow me to use iframes for HTML, which would allow additional sandboxing. CSP is still on my TODO list.

How do you deal with untrusted HTML?

Do you still use RSS and feed reader apps in 2026 ?

If you do , can you actually reach the full range of sources out there? Filter them by keyword, or just describe what you're after in plain language and get the 20 sources that matter for your monitoring in ten seconds?

My context: I've had this idea that any curious person or content creator should be able to reach the best 400,000 RSS feeds in the world without effort , straight from their AI tool or their automation stack.

If that existed tomorrow, what would you plug it into? And what are you using instead right now?

  • Webz.io built a News Search API with 300K+ sources and filters most news APIs don't offer

[Webz.io](http://Webz.io) News Search API combines **natural-language search** with filters that go beyond the basics.

Instead of building complex Boolean queries, you can describe what you’re looking for in plain language, then narrow the results by **sentiment** and **category**, in addition to source, country, language, and date.

That makes searches like these much easier:

    * Negative news about a company * Cybersecurity incidents in the technology sector * Positive financial news around a specific market * Political or business news related to a particular event

The API searches across 300K+ news sources and returns relevant articles and matching content chunks.

Useful for RAG, AI agents, media monitoring, financial research, risk intelligence, and competitive analysis.

You also get **$5 in free credit every month**, so it’s easy to test and build with before committing.

I was looking for a way to interact better with my feeds, and I love the aesthetic of the old school newspaper. First, I built a python script to create it. But now I made it into an android app.

The basic idea is that you add your feeds, then choose which some to star, the app gets all the ones from the starred feeds and some of the others and build the news paper. See some example outputs here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1nF8saFKpJxEzxMFe0eL7vkm4mP3mJnj3?usp=sharing

  • I built an RSS reader around a question: should Reddit and YouTube just be feeds too?

I’ve used RSS for a long time, but over time my actual “feeds” ended up scattered across three different places:

    RSS for websites
    Reddit for communities
    YouTube for channels

That always felt a bit ridiculous to me. They’re fundamentally doing the same job: show me new things from sources I chose to follow.

So I started building RSSum for myself as a normal RSS reader, and eventually decided to treat Reddit communities and YouTube channels as first-class feeds too.

Now I can have an unified RSS feed, a subreddit and a YouTube channel sitting next to each other in the same library, rather than jumping between three different apps.

It still behaves like an RSS reader: I choose what I subscribe to, I can organize sources, import/export OPML, and there’s no recommendation feed deciding what I should see.

I’ve also been experimenting with summaries/Q&A, including using the actual transcript for YouTube videos, all reddit comments analyzes, etc.

It’s whether RSS should remain strictly about RSS/Atom URLs, or whether the RSS-reader model itself is useful for following other sources too.

RSSum is free and open source, currently on the app store and TestFlight for iPhone/iPad.

    https://rssapp.top/

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rssum/id6743862589

    Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/iosapps/comments/1vkw2ge/freeopen_source_rss_reddit_and_youtube_reader/

Curious what people here think: would having Reddit and YouTube alongside RSS make your reader more useful, or do you specifically want your RSS reader to stay RSS-only?

  • Big Update to my open-source RSS Reader: Qt redesign, Reader Mode, OPML, Linux build, and more

Hi everyone — I posted RSS Reader Pro here about 20 days ago, and the feedback helped me decide what to build next.

This is a big update for the project. I rebuilt the desktop UI from Tkinter to PySide6 / Qt and gave it a new Signal Modular interface: a dark, three-column reading workspace with visual story cards, a compact feed sidebar, and a focused reading panel.

I also implemented one of the most useful suggestions from the earlier post: Reader Mode. The app can now fetch and display a cleaner version of an article inside the desktop app instead of forcing you to read every page in a browser.

    What is new

•Modern Qt desktop UI with a full visual redesign

•Reader Mode for cleaner full-article reading

•Advanced search with date, unread, and bookmarked filters

•Feed categories and unread counters in the sidebar

•OPML import/export for moving subscriptions between readers

•Bookmark export as HTML or PDF

    •Desktop notifications, font-size controls, and auto-scroll

•Native in-app playback for compatible direct video files, without requiring VLC

•System-player fallback for YouTube, Vimeo, Redgifs, and other non-direct video sources

•Linux x86_64 portable build, alongside the Windows EXE

•Stronger regression testing for feed refresh, in-app video, and safe shutdown during background refreshes

The app is still local-first: feeds, reading state, and bookmarks are stored locally in SQLite.

    Links

    •GitHub: https://github.com/erfan138057/rss-reader-app

    •Latest release (Windows + Linux ): https://github.com/erfan138057/rss-reader-app/releases/tag/v1.0.3

    •Previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/rss/comments/1v9pg91/rss_reader_pro_opensource_desktop_rss_reader_with/

I would especially love feedback on the new Qt UI and on what should come next. One idea I am considering is an optional local-network/web mode so users could read the same feeds from another device on their home network.

Thanks again to everyone who gave feedback on the first post.

    Hello any miniflux users.
I've grown tired of the noise and slop of social media for content aggregation. I recently switched to curating my own feeds through miniflux, and have most websites working - except for reddit.

How are you guys managing to get this working? I get timeouts, blocked, etc.
It doesn't seem to be recently discussed given the fluid nature of RSS feeds now.

  • feederss: a sidekick for miniflux which encourages social reading

I made a thing called feederss. It sits next my self-hosted RSS reader, miniflux, reads its database, and publishes a small static page showing who subscribes to what, which categories they’ve configured, and what articles they’ve starred (a modified version of mine is here - I’ve removed a few users). The site also includes a JSON blob I use to populatea list or recent articles i've liked on my website.

I came up with the idea while taking “Solidarity Infrastructures” at School for Poetic Computation a couple years back. In the class we were challenged to imagine online communities outside the hegemonic grasp of algorithmic curation and surveillance capitalism. Fortunately you don’t have too look too far back to understand that another internet is possible. Many of us remember a time before social media and AI summarizations when RSS feeds and free tools like Google Reader allowed you explore the many weird and wonderful corners of the web. When I found Miniflux, its simple design reminded me of this era and I was excited to share it with others. I now host an instance for a few friends on a raspberry pi in my living room and feederss helps us keep tabs on what everyone else is reading.

If you want to try it out, there are instructions on Github: https://github.com/abelsonlive/feederss

    Enjoy!

  • Surviving RSS Directories: Are There ANY Alive in 2026???

Help! i Fell down a RABBIT HOLE trying to find more than a handful of actual RSS SUBMISSION opportunities for a few my blog feeds.

Does anyone have a working list a current RSS directories?

You know all those “List of 50/100/150 Best RSS Submission Sites in 2026” Ranking on page one of Google? - Yeah well they’re all a BS graveyard of dead, zombie, repurposed, invalid URL’s to nowhere!!!

I scraped some of the lists, eliminated all of the duplicates and fed them to one AI chatbot after another. I couldn’t even get all the AI engines to barely agree “Who’s Left? Who Matters?”

I had to fight them to actually verify if the domain still even responds, if they had been repurposed or what, and they hallucinated defunct sites as live - and functional ones as dead.

I’ve whittled it down to 11 directories that I will be testing out this weekend one by one. I’ll be happy to share my successes - but was wondering if anyone had a good working list of their own…

  • Link penalties on social media platforms

Although I’ve known for a while that social platforms make posts with links in them less visible, I didn’t know until recently just how much they did it. So, here’s a run down of how much different platforms penalise links and how you can work with it.

(Although the real answer is of course to use platforms that don’t penalise links, sometimes you have to go where people are)

  • I built a tool that turns news/RSS into ready X posts - looking for honest feedback

    Hey,

I’ve been working on a side project that solves a problem I kept running into: keeping X accounts active with fresh content without spending hours writing posts every day.

It takes a news source or RSS feed and turns the content into natural-sounding X posts. You can either let it post automatically or review everything first. It only uses the official X API.

I’m mainly looking for feedback from people who actually manage X accounts or work with news content:

    - Does this sound useful to you?

    - What would make you try something like this?

    - Any obvious gaps or things that feel unnecessary?

Here’s the site if you want to take a look: aismfeed.com

Appreciate any honest thoughts (critical ones welcome).

  • Instagram posts in my RSS feed, it's possible?

So I ditched Instagram for good but there are some artists that use Instagram for announcing tours, new music, merchandise etc... it's possible to put these posts inside my RSS feed so I can see them without Instagram?

  • Foragd App Testing. Looking for a few folks to test and fill out feedback form. $10 US gift card for feedback.

    Hey folks,

I’ve been working away at improving everything about Foragd; bugs, quirks, layout and usage. I’d like to gather some feedback from more folks and have a reward for participants.

    The Ask

Looking for 5 testers to spend about 15-20 minutes trying it out and filling in a short feedback form. In exchange, You’ll get gift card valued at $10 USD (redeemable for gift cards from Amazon US and other US retailers through GiftBit).

You can perform the testing in a web browser on a phone, tablet, or desktop. Any OS, any browser. If you can test on multiple devices, that would be great but not required!

I’ll send a link with the feedback form to be eligible for the gift card, to the first five folks who DM me about this.

    Testing Steps

    1. Sign up for the free trial (no card/payment details required): https://foragd.app/signup
    2. Add 3-5 feeds. Try a mix of an RSS feed, a YouTube channel, and if you can, an email newsletter (email newsletter testing might take more time but greatly appreciated. Its okay to send the feedback form whenever).
    3. Browse to the homepage, the subscriptions list and the articles list pages.
    4. Click through and read a couple of articles. If the article is just a summary, load the full content.
    5. Save an article to read later and then check its in the saved articles list.
    6. Try the search feature. Try searching by for a particular word or phrase. Try searching for a general topic or area. Click through from the suggestions or load the search results page.
    7. Fill out the feedback form I’ve sent you.

    Feedback Submission

To get the gift card: submit the feedback form with your answers. A quick screen recording (even 60 seconds on your phone) of you using the app is optional but greatly appreciated.

There are no right or wrong answers for the feedback questions. However, consistent low-effort, vague and/or short answers will not be eligible for the gift card.

I’ll send the gift card details within 24-48 hours of your form submission. Happy to answer questions in the comments.

    Cheers!

  • Deduping 64 AI feeds so I could count how many outlets cover the same story — four layers, one needed a language model

I run an AI news reader (https://helucino.com — mine, free, no account needed to read) that pulls 64 feeds every 15 minutes. Reading them was easy. The thing I wanted was harder: rank stories by how many separate outlets are covering them. Five news websites independently publishing the same story is definitely a signal that the news is important — and to get it you must first know that four articles are one story. So dedupe was the problem I picked.

    Four layers, cheapest first:

    1. Canonical URL hashing — kills syndication and tracking-param variants.
    2. Exact normalized-title match — free, catches straight reprints.
    3. Title-token similarity — Jaccard + containment, but gated on shared named entities. Without that gate "Meta open-sources X" merges with "OpenAI open-sources X", which is definitely a wrong answer.
    4. Embeddings to shortlist, then a language model to decide — asked in both directions and these must agree, because one-directional prompting says yes far too easily.

The output is a +N badge per row, and a sort order. Ranked orders purely by that count; Top applies the same count with an 18-hour half-life so recency still matters. A false merge is much worse than a missed one here — merging two stories hides one of them and inflates the other's count — which is why layer 4 has to agree with itself before it will collapse anything, and why complete linkage is checked both ways before two groups join.

Current reality check: 63 of 64 feeds green. The one that isn't is Hacker News, which is a bit on the nose. Genuinely curious how others handle publishers that block feed readers — mirror, back off, or drop them?

  • A tech news reader with a swipe deck instead of an infinite feed offline saves, no account, English/French/Arabic

The part I care about most is the Deck. Instead of scrolling a feed forever, you get one story at a time as a card. Swipe right and it unfolds into the reader, swipe left and it's gone and the next one springs up. The card rotates with your finger and the keep/skip stamps fade in as you drag, so you can feel the commit point before you let go. It turns "I have 40 tabs open" into a two-minute triage.

    The rest:

Reader is clutter-free — article text, adjustable size, nothing else. No related-content grid, no newsletter interstitial.

Offline reading is a toggle, and it's real: flip it on and every story you've saved gets its full content pulled down at launch, so Saved works on a plane or in a tunnel. Off by default, because it costs bandwidth and I'd rather you opt in.

Three themes, named rather than numbered: Daystand, Nightdesk, and Sunset Sync — whicflips automatically as the day turns.

Three languages: English, French and Arabic, including proper right-to-left layout, not just translated strings.

Notifications are per-language topics, so you get headlines in the language you actually read.

Also: search with recent history, topic filters, trending, and a Discover tab for browsing by subject.

No account. No signup, no email, nothing to create. Open it and read.

Free, supported by a single banner ad on two screens — no interstitials, nothing full-screen, nothing that interrupts an article. There's no paid tier and no IAP.

  • Feedrion: A Cross-Platform RSS Reader with Spoiler Protection, Local AI, Text-to-Speech, and Offline Reading

    Hello everyone,

I would like to introduce Feedrion, a new application for reading and aggregating RSS feeds, YouTube channels, Google News feeds, and more, similar to Feedly or Inoreader, but with innovative new features. Available on web (https://feedrion.com), andoid, wear os.

    Video app android : https://youtu.be/7fSj5YlfU5M

A little background: I previously used Netvibes. After it was discontinued, I switched to Feedly, but I never really enjoyed using it, especially its Android application. So I decided to create my own RSS reader.

My goal was to build a simple and enjoyable application with several features that I found difficult to find elsewhere.

    Main Features

    🛡️ Spoiler Protection

Are you following a TV series, a sport, a video game, or a competition?

Add the keywords you want to avoid, and Feedrion will automatically hide titles and previews that might contain spoilers. You can reveal them whenever you choose.

This is actually the main reason I created the application: I was tired of getting spoiled simply by checking my RSS feeds.

    🤖 AI-Powered Summaries and Translations

You can use your own API key from Claude, OpenAI, Groq, OpenRouter, Cerebras, or other compatible providers to:

    • generate article summaries;
    • translate content;
    • choose the AI model;
    • customize the instructions used.

Requests are sent directly from your device to the provider you select. Your API key and data never pass through Feedrion’s servers.

Some providers, such as Groq and Cerebras, offer free usage quotas that may be sufficient for personal use.

    📴 Offline Reading and Synchronization

Articles are stored locally so that you can read them without an internet connection.

As soon as your connection is restored, your data is synchronized. Read articles, saved items, folders, and preferences follow you across your devices, particularly Android and the Web.

    🔊 Text-to-Speech

Feedrion can read articles aloud, making it convenient to listen while walking, cooking, or travelling.

    📁 Organization and Search

    You can:

    • organize your sources into folders;
    • quickly mark articles as read;
    • save articles for later;
    • search through your content;
    • customize swipe actions.

    🔔 Keyword Alerts

Receive a notification or an email whenever a new article contains a keyword or topic that interests you.

    📖 Reading Comfort

    The application includes:

    • light and dark themes;
    • several accent colours;
    • adjustable text size;
    • a distraction-free reading layout.

    🌍 Available in 13 Languages

    Feedrion is currently available in:

French, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Indonesian, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, and Bengali.

    Where Can You Try Feedrion?

    Web Version

The beta version is available here:

    https://feedrion.com

    Android and Wear OS

Before I can publish the application publicly on Google Play, Google requires me to run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days.

    To participate:

    1. Join the testers group: https://groups.google.com/g/feedrion-testers
    2. Then install the application from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mfr.feedrion

The Google Play link will only work after your Google account has joined the testers’ group.

    About Summaries Generated by Feedrion

You may occasionally see summaries that have already been generated by Feedrion.

However, I cannot guarantee that this feature will remain available in the long term, as AI processing can become expensive. I therefore recommend using the local AI feature with your own API key instead.

Some providers, such as Groq and Cerebras, offer free usage quotas that may be sufficient for personal use.

    Final Thoughts

Thank you in advance to everyone who agrees to test the application.

I welcome all feedback, whether positive or negative: bugs, usability issues, missing features, or anything that is difficult to understand. You can share your feedback here or use the “Send feedback” feature within the application.

I have tried to create an application that can suit as many people as possible, but without a larger number of real users, it is very easy to overlook certain issues.

  • I built SignalCaster to automate RSS-to-social publishing — now live on iOS & Android

    Hi everyone,

I’ve been building SignalCaster, an app for people who manage websites, blogs, RSS feeds, or multiple social channels and want to spend less time doing repetitive publishing work.

SignalCaster connects your RSS feeds, collects new articles, and helps you organize, schedule, and publish content across supported social platforms.

The idea is simple: instead of constantly checking feeds, copying links, preparing posts, and publishing them one by one, SignalCaster brings that workflow together in one place.

Some of the current features include:

    • RSS feed management
    • Automatic article collection
    • Social publishing and scheduling
    • Multiple publishing groups
    • Support for Telegram, Discord, Pinterest, Mastodon, LinkedIn, Facebook and more depending on your plan
    • Free plan available

SignalCaster is now officially available on both iOS and Android.

    🍎 iOS:
    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/signalcaster/id6760372723

    🤖 Android:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.signalcaster.mobile

    🌐 Website:
    https://signalcaster.app

I’m still actively developing SignalCaster, so I’d really appreciate feedback from bloggers, creators, marketers, publishers, agencies, and anyone managing content across multiple channels.

    I’d especially love to hear:

What part of your content publishing workflow takes the most time that you wish could be automated?

I’m the founder, so feel free to ask me anything about SignalCaster, how it works, pricing, or what’s coming next.

  • Built a no-tracking Canadian news reader this summer, would love some brutally honest feedback

Been doing web dev as my day job for a few years now, and this summer I finally built something for myself instead of clients.

I got tired of scrolling through five different news sites every morning, half of which needed a cookie popup dismissed and were mixing in a ton of US headlines I didn't ask for. So I built North Wire — pulls from CBC, CTV, Global News, Financial Post, BBC, that kind of source list. No account, no cookies, no tracking. Just headlines.

You can add it straight to your home screen from your phone's browser — no App Store needed, nothing to download. It's in beta right now, and there's a feedback form built right into it — genuinely want to know what's broken or annoying before I keep building on it.

    news.sharplinedigital.com

Full disclosure: I run a small web design shop in Chilliwack, this was a side project to keep my skills sharp and scratch my own itch. Not trying to sell anyone anything, just sharing since I figured other people might be as tired of the algorithm-chasing headlines as I am.
