I have been working on PressPlayed, a mobile-first RSS reader built for listening instead of scanning.
You can select publishers you already trust and group their feeds into briefings. If the subject matters more than the publisher, you can also enter something like “housing market” or “Fed interest rates”; PressPlayed finds relevant current coverage across sources and builds the briefing. Articles are extracted server-side and narrated continuously in the browser.
It also supports a narrator choice, language filtering, a minimum article length, played-article skipping, and muted words or phrases.
I would especially value feedback from people who already care about RSS:
There is a public audio sample and a short mobile tour here: https://pressplayed.com/tour.html?utm_source=reddit-rss&utm_campaign=first100
Access is free and does not require a credit card. I run this account for the product and am happy to answer technical or product questions.
