I whipped up a little prototype/project inspired by Dave's Web of Markdown idea.
BTW this is a Markdown browser too.
People assume Markdown has to look a certain way for certain applications.
But this is evidence that Bluesky or Twitter or micro.blog could be Markdown browsers.
We have far too limited view of what a browser is. It's our habit of trusting big companies that gives us the limited idea that a browser has to look like browsers have "always" worked.
There might be other even better ways to read.
I already searched for this a few times but I cannot find any reference: I'm pretty sure in 1999/2001 someone proposed an HTML profile using only the basic formatting elements, it was called HTML light or something. I thought that was Dan Bricklin, but I'm not sure.
Markdown, rendered, is like that HTML light.
Do you remember?
