Not a vibe-coded app, built over about two years: Chaski, a calmer way to read the web.

Hello, I came back to this subreddit and I saw a lot of people publishing apps, well, I'm posting mine too, and sorry if this is annoying. I can just say in my defense that I didn't vibe-code it to get some money out of it. I use it every day to read news. And this week I released a new version with a lot of changes, including:

  • Full GReader API support, so you can connect your FreshRSS server to it.
  • Android build! This was exciting for me, seeing my app running on mobile too.
  • A lot of refactoring in the UI/UX.
  • And recently published on Flathub for Linux users! https://flathub.org/en/apps/com.a_chacon.chaski

You can see the entire changelog here: https://github.com/a-chacon/chaski-app/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md

I'm here to ask you for feedback on the Android version. Currently the APK can only be downloaded from the release page. The next goal is to publish it on F-Droid! I don't want money from it, I just want people to be able to read the web without algorithms and big companies deciding what to see and what to hide.
